Our Story

Two Quarts Arts CIC was founded by Claire Webb in response to a growing need for creative engagement in an increasingly stressful and disconnected world.

With a background in creative marketing and events, Claire developed a lifelong appreciation for the arts from an early age, recognising their unique ability to enrich lives, nurture wellbeing, and bring people together.

Through establishing and running The Paint Pottle in Market Harborough, delivering ceramic painting workshops for people of all ages, Claire witnessed first-hand the transformative power of creative activity. These sessions provided a welcoming space where participants could relax, express themselves, develop new skills, and experience a sense of achievement and belonging.

Recognising the increasing demand for accessible, therapeutic arts opportunities, particularly within a community facing rising mental health challenges and an ageing population and rural isolation, Claire founded Two Quarts Arts to expand access to creative experiences and their many benefits.

By delivering inclusive, high-impact cultural programmes and collaborating with local artists, makers, and creative practitioners, Two Quarts Arts works to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to engage with the arts. Through creativity, the organisation seeks to foster connection, inspire wellbeing, strengthen communities, and contribute to the cultural and economic vitality of the local area.
